Our experience supported independent living staff will work with you to help you feel comfortable with the place and people you live with, as well as the supports you receive.
We also have a strong focus on matching people who choose to live together and locating a home that suits each individuals needs and requirements. We work with you and/or with your loved ones to ensure a smooth individualised transition.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) involves providing help or supervision with daily tasks to develop skills and assist an individual to live as independently as possible.

These supports are provided to a participant in their home or one of ours if needed, and can be in a shared or individual arrangement.

Assistance provided will depend on individual plans but will be tailored to individual needs and may include the following:
Accommodation:
Helping individuals find and maintain suitable housing, which may include individual apartments, shared houses, or group homes.

Personal care:
Assisting with daily activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and medication management.
Social and community integration:
Encouraging active participation in social activities, facilitating connections with community services, and fostering relationships with peers, neighbours, and other community members.

Household management:
Providing support for managing household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, and budgeting.

Life skills training:
Offering guidance and instruction in essential life skills like cooking, cleaning, managing finances, using public transportation, and accessing community resources.
